I had written a fairly substantial post recounting the events of today. I was summarizing the story about Halifax being blown up in the largest man-made disaster in history when, much closer to home, the app I use to write this blog blew up, wiping out the entire post. It is too late in the evening to recapture the muse; today's post is, for now, mostly a photo essay.
The seas, which never really got uncomfortable, had settled down by this morning.
We passed the lighthouse at the headland about 0845. BTW, I took this picture from about 4 miles away with my Samsung Galaxy 23 cellphone. While I admit to some subsequent software processing of the image, I still question whether any iPhone could match it.
We were tied up ahead of the Caribbean Princess, a cruise ship with over 3,000 passengers and 1,200 crew members.
We had some time before our tour, so we walked along the waterfront. It was a cloudy, cool Monday morning, so everything was subdued.
| He was just wandering around, loving the attention. |
We eventually boarded our bus for The Famous Peggy's Cove Tour. It needed to be made clear whether Peggy's Cove or the tour was famous. We hoped for both.
| We traveled clockwise on this tour |
We were back at the marine terminal at 1630. The ship departed for Sydney, NS, on schedule at 1800.

I noted everything left to say when I had to recreate this post. How soon those will be added has yet to be determined. I will probably start sneaking them in when I can, beginning tomorrow morning.
